Wednesday Community Dinners

Every Wednesday beginning September 4th.
Take-out dinners can be picked up between 4:30 and 5. 
Join us in the dining room between 5 and 6 pm.

Pentwater residents and people from surrounding communities are invited to enjoy our community dinner any Wednesday night. Come experience the culinary expertise of our volunteer cooks. The meal is homemade and served restaurant-style and always ends with delicious homemade desserts and good conversation. All kinds of people attend - those who need a meal, those seeking some social contact, families wanting to "eat out", volunteers who help and then eat, and even people looking for an opportunity to get out for an evening. Everyone is welcome! There is no charge for the dinner. We operate on free-will offerings.

Our menu for Community Dinner this Wednesday, November 20th, is Chicken Enchilada, Mexican Rice, Marinated Vegetable Salad,Green Chile Soup, and dessert.

Take-out dinners are available from 4:30 to 5 pm. If you would like to reserve a take-out dinner, please call 231-869-5900. Dine in from 5 to 6 pm, you don't need to make reservations if you plan to dine with us.

Parking at Centenary UMC

The Centenary UMC building has been a fixture in downtown Pentwater since the 19th century, and as the town has grown around the building, there remains only street parking available. Centenary is located on the corner of Hancock St and 1st St, and it is appropriate to drop off persons either at the main entrance steps on Hancock St, or at the side door on 1st St, which is also the entrance for the elevator.

Worship Service on the Green

Sundays 9:30 AM

Come to the Village Green and worship with us outdoors during the summer in the heart of beautiful downtown Pentwater! Worship on the Green services will begin June 23 - September 1, 2024. Bring chairs or a blanket, the dress is casual, pets are welcome.
In the event of inclement weather, services will be held in the Sanctuary.

Parking for Summer Worship on the Green

From June 24 - September 1, 2024, worship is on the Village Green at 9:30 am. The Village Green is located on the west side of Hancock St between 2nd and 3rd Streets, about 2 blocks south of the church building.
Street parking is available around the Green. Closer parking is on 2nd St.
